Powerfeed

Powerfeed is a fertilizer that is made by the same company that make Seasol. I use it because it was the liquid fertilizer that had the least amount of Phosphorus in it.

I’d also used it before on other non Proteaceae plants but now days I mainly just use on my Proteaceae plants when they seem to suffering from the affects of the Phosphorus in my soil.

Another reason I use Powerfeed is because I’m such a big fan of Seasol and so I reckon that Powerfeed has to be another quality gardening product as well.

Multicrop Plant Starter

Multicrop Plant Starter, another great Gardening Product

Multicrop Plant Starter is a product that I’ve been using for the last few years. It’s a gardening product that my mother also uses in her garden and we’ve both found it great in helping new plants in becoming established.

It’s meant to stimulate root growth and I also use it undiluted to help strike cuttings when propagating new plants. When used in the garden, just mix it with some water at the recommended rate and water it well in around the rootball. I quite often use it in combination with Seasol.

It’s great when planting and I quite often soak the rootball of the plant in a solution of this in a bucket before it gets planted into the ground.

The other thing I’ve found, is that it’s great for transplanting or shifting a plant to a new position. You can soak the plants roots with this solution before, during and after the job.I wasn’t actually using this gardening product though back when transplanting my Grevillea Caloundra Gem but if I’d known about it then I definitely would have used it.

Multicrop Plant Starter is also meant to do a lot of the things that Seasol does as well but I can’t see any advantage of using one product over the other. I just use them both.

Seasol

Seasol, a liquid seaweed extract used as a plant tonic.

Seasol is a gardening product that I’ve been using for years and as far as I’m concerned it’s my No 1 gardening accessory. It’s made from seaweed extract and it’s basically a tonic (not a fertilizer) for plants.

It helps make your plants more resistant to pests, frost, heat and other elements and can also be used when planting and transplanting plants. I put it to the test when transplanting my Grevillea Caloundra Gem a few years ago and I’m certain that if it wasn’t for the Seasol the plant would have died.

I use Seasol on all of my plants and even use it on my back lawn. I as far as I’m concerned if you’re going to use just one gardening product in your garden this is the one.
