Big Poly would probably be a good option but I’m not sure how it would cope with the humidity in QLD. Last summer we had very humid weather here in Melbourne after Cyclone Yasi and my Big Poly died off quite severely. I had to cut most of it back.
I’d get some tropical grevilleas like Honey Gem or there is a new one called Blood Orange (in tubes if you can get them) and the birds and the bees will just love you forever.

big poly seems an ideal no fuss plant for hedging and screening.. Its flowers are gorgeous.Do you know of anyone growing them or selling them is qld?
I would be happy to propagate from cuttings. If they could tolerate being posted.

Ive done some propagation OK. I need to screen a half acre block with a rapid grower that flowers. for the bees and birds.

Thanks Anitra

Hello,

I love the delicate flower of this Eremophila. The foliage looks like my Eremophila 'Summertime Blue'. What amazing variety!
