Seasol
Seasol, a liquid seaweed extract used as a plant tonic.
Seasol is a gardening product that I’ve been using for years and as far as I’m concerned it’s my No 1 gardening accessory. It’s made from seaweed extract and it’s basically a tonic (not a fertilizer) for plants.
It helps make your plants more resistant to pests, frost, heat and other elements and can also be used when planting and transplanting plants. I put it to the test when transplanting my Grevillea Caloundra Gem a few years ago and I’m certain that if it wasn’t for the Seasol the plant would have died.
I use Seasol on all of my plants and even use it on my back lawn. I as far as I’m concerned if you’re going to use just one gardening product in your garden this is the one.

is pine bark mulch suitable for native plants
I never used pine bark as mulch but the rule I use is that the mulch needs to be aged. Make sure it isn’t green as it can nitrogen out of the soil.
